Wildhive Callow Hall Pen & Watercolour Workshops

Wildhive Callow Hall Pen & Watercolour Workshops

Join me at Wildhive Callow Hall in the Peak District this summer as part of their curated event season. I'll be running two Botanical Pen Drawing and Watercolour Workshops at this stylish, country house hotel with treehouses on Wednesday 31st July and Wednesday 21st August. The events will start at 10 am with welcome teas and coffees, followed by a two-hour art workshop and then a delicious light lunch.

Tucked away in 35 acres of picturesque gardens, wild meadows, and woodlands, this Victorian country house is the perfect spot to create botanical and floral art. Renovated and then refurbished by Isabella Worsley (previously trained under award-winning interior designer Kit Kemp of Firmdale Hotels) the interior brings the outdoors in with floral artwork, prints and botanical photography throughout.

My Pen and Watercolour workshops will use the hotel's beautiful botanical artwork as selected by Isabella Worsley as inspiration. Participants will also be able to take inspiration from locally foraged foliage.

I’ll be showing participants different drawing techniques as well as a ‘dry’ watercolour method to help them create their own beautiful artwork.

well-being art workshops to help mental health

We will also be looking at how art and drawing can help relieve stress and anxiety and can improve general well-being and mental health.

To book your space for either 31st July or 21st August please head to the Wild Hive Callow Hall website and book on this page. This is open to everyone including those wishing to visit for the day, along with hotel guests.

Please get in touch if you’d like know more about my work or are interested in attending this or one of my other Kate Dawes Studio pen drawing and watercolour workshops or would like me to run one for your event or group.
