Botanical pen, watercolour and collage work can work in a variety of ways and there is plenty of opportunity to experiment and develop the art form further to create really intricate and explorational collage work.

Collage can be as much pen and watercolour as you wish, or can focus more on using recycled newspaper or magazines. I prefer to combine all to create interesting, unique artwork.

I'd love to explore collage further and combine my hybrid artwork (already an amalgamation of photography and mixed media art) with the technique. See my hybrid artwork below, as exhibited at the Creative Melbourne Gallery.
After a visit to Boston's Museum of Fine Art, inspired by the watercolour materials and techniques of Winslow Homer (as below) I'm also interested in exploring watercolour further within the context of collage artwork.

I'd also like to look at introducing patchwork quilt heritage designs into my mixed media collage work - including in the style of these Chinese patchwork quilts as displayed in Boston at the exhibition of One Hundred Villages, The Beauty of Patchwork from Rural China.

I'd love to create a full sized quilt of paper patchwork with botanical centres inspired by Wedgwood and ceramic designs or with botanical hybrid art centres.

So plenty to explore, research and develop with mixed media collage work.
