Pen and Watercolour Workshop at Creative Gallery Melbourne

Pen and Watercolour Workshop at Creative Gallery Melbourne

My pen and watercolour workshops are well underway this Spring.

I'm part way through running two sold-out art workshops at the Creative Melbourne Gallery, with more in the pipeline for later in the year at this venue.

On Saturday 11th May I got to run an art workshop with these talented people.

There was a whole mix of abilities, with some not having done art since their school days, whilst others with art college training wanted a bit of a refresh and to try their hand at pen and watercolour.

My relaxed Pen and Watercolour Workshops run in two phases - firstly looking at different pen drawing techniques, from sketching through to fine precise drawing.

Once participants settle on a pen drawing style that suits them, we then look at watercolour and how this can enhance their botanical drawing.

Everyone is encouraged to create something that reflects their style and despite the same subject matter of tulips and foliage everyone comes away with their own unique artwork, from the delicate to the bolder Scandi style of art.

Hear what some of the participants have to say:

A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing workshop. Kate gave very good advice and support to all participants. Would highly recommend, even if you haven’t done anything like this before. Thank you!” Louise M

and

thank you for a lovely morning. We are very pleased with our tulips and really enjoyed the workshop” Morag H
